Privacy Policy for Cubie

Cubie is a desktop companion app for macOS. It does not collect, store, or transmit personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Information We Collect

None. Cubie does not collect personal data. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information, and the app contains no analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs.

Data Stored on Your Device

Cubie saves a small amount of data locally on your Mac so it can remember how you like it set up. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

• App preferences and settings (such as window behaviour, companion options, and launch-at-login preference).
• Custom skins and content you import, plus a macOS security-scoped bookmark to any content folder you explicitly choose.
• A local record of your trial period and purchase status.

All of this is removed when you delete the app (imported files you placed in your own folders remain yours to manage).

Network Use

Cubie makes no network requests to any server operated by us. The only outbound request the app can make is to Apple’s public iTunes lookup service, to check whether a newer version of Cubie is available. That request contains only the app’s identifier — no personal data and no device identifiers are sent, and no user account is involved.

Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple’s handling of that transaction is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Third Parties

Cubie includes no third-party SDKs, no ad networks, and no data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or share any data, because we do not have any.

Children’s Privacy

Cubie is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your Rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. All data created by Cubie stays on your Mac and is under your control. You can remove it at any time by deleting the app.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use of Cubie after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
